Tech Diver Training

Technical Diver training is not for everyone. The potential risks are substantially greater than those posed by recreational diving. The prerequisite training, skills and experience are steep — and students must make a substantial investment in equipment.

Nevertheless, the rewards to those who can meet this challenge are great, with perhaps the greatest being the satisfaction that comes with “Doing it Right.”

Diver’s Den Georgia offers a variety of technical diving courses from Technical Diving International (TDI) as well as Cave Diver training through the National Speleological Society Cave Diving Section (NSS-CDS). Among our more popular course offerings:

Advanced Nitrox/Deco Procedures

This is the first step on the tech diver training ladder. Although technically separate courses (with considerable overlap between them), in North America they are almost always taken as a combined program, in so far as you really need both to participate in the kind of tech diving we do here. Cavern Diver Course (Cave Fundamentals)

The Cavern Diver course is the first in a succession of programs designed to lead to full Cave Diver certification. Although some students enroll in this course as a means of enhancing their recreational diving skills, the majority take this and the Advanced Nitrox/Deco Procedures program specifically to prepare for Cave Diver training.
